Joe Forsyth, P.Eng

Associate and Geotechnical Engineer

Joe Forsyth joined Paterson Group in 2011 as part of the Geotechnical Group. Joe received his Bachelors of Applied Science from Queen’s University in 2008 in Geological Engineering. While at Queen’s he was a teaching assistant for 1st year engineering students and participated in the numerous Geology department activities. In the summer of 2007, Joe worked for a consulting engineering firm at a preliminary iron ore mine on Baffin Island. During this summer experience Joe gained invaluable experience on budgets, time management, consultant/owner relation, quality data and information, and working with a variety of different personnel. Upon graduation in 2008, Joe moved to Calgary to start his career as an engineer-in-training at AECOM. From 2008 to 2011, Joe accumulated extensive experience with roadways, bridges, landfills and heavy industrial construction throughout western Canada and the Arctic. While at AECOM clients consisted of Alberta Transportation, City of Calgary, Department of National Defence, Petro Canada, and Athabasca Oils and Corporation. Since 2011, Joe has worked for Paterson Group on numerous construction projects within the Ottawa area including the Lansdowne Redevelopment, The West Block Rehabilitation and Visitor’s Welcome Centre, as well as several commercial and residential developments.
